Contribute and Subscribe to New Edition of History Book

collagenew.jpgWe published our history, A Century of Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan, in 2002.  It contained 640 pages and 560 photographs, spanning the years 1898–2002, and was extremely well received, particularly by our alums. Our original print run of 850 copies is now depleted, and we shall be preparing a second and updated hardcover edition, which we expect to publish in late 2012, to include between 50 and 100 additional pages—again with lots of photographs.

We are soliciting input from you, our alumni, about your experiences in the department and university. We would welcome your contributions for consideration, preferably one or at most two paragraphs long, and oriented largely to your experiences at Michigan, also including a sentence or two about your subsequent career.

Please send all submissions to Sandy Swisher at sandys@umich.edu or to 3074 H.H. Dow, The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2136

You are also invited to become a “subscriber” to the second edition, which will ensure that your name is printed at the beginning of the book.  The names of the approximately 400 subscribers to the first edition will still be retained, and if you have subscribed to both editions, it will be noted.
