Responsibilities

Research Administration (pre-award)

Proposal preparation for sponsored projects

Research Center submissions, industry programs, fellowship programs and internal program submissions including budget preparation

Ensure accuracy, compliance and timeliness for all documentation requirements via eRPM/Sponsor websites

Serve as a communication/coordination liaison with research team, ORSP, OVPR, schools, colleges, industry, universities and sub-contractors for submission approvals/deadline requirements.

Contract and Grant Accountant (post-award)

Account reconciler using real-time financial system, budget/expense projections, journal entry processing

A21 issues including problem solving/resolution

7471 processing, sponsored and general fund project HR appointment management decisions, DBE salary changes, and project/grant close-outs

Periodic account discussion/review with faculty members to ensure compliant fund management

Process Gift funds and check deposits

Initiate project/grant set-ups

Manager approver for orders, petty cash reimbursements, concur/hosting/travel reports

Miscellaneous other post-award activities.
